I did 5 workouts in July, 1 in August, 1 in September, and, so far, 1 in October. I pay 139.00 a month for unlimited - this is the founders rate because I joined before the gym in my area opened. I've been paying since February and did not even go until July because of my discomfort and fear. I'm such an idiot. I can't pay my bills month to month easily but I waste money on this and don't even go. That's now 9 months of paying 139.00 - that's $1251 that I've spent. Holy bananas. And I've only gone 8 times. This is extremely upsetting to me. I don't have that kind of money to be wasting but I'm too afraid to go in-person to cancel - which is probably why they have that in-person cancellation policy. I should have known my limitations and never have gotten involved with them.
But, its too late now. Now I either cancel or start giong. I know I need to start going because its a good workout for me even though I don't particularly enjoy the workout.
This is a terrible situation to be in.
On another note, at least my completely eliminating carbs and not eating very much as actually led to some weight loss. I'm down to around 241 which means I've lost about 65 pounds from my heaviest and 45 from when I start seriously eliminating the carbs and not eating. However, because I've not been going to the gym, I've lost a lot of muscle and strength. On the positive side as well, I've been walking the dog every day and have no trouble doing a 3+ mile walk with him - yes, its a slow walk because he stops - it takes well over an hour - but at least I'm out there walking and my knees are relatively OK and my back is not nearly as bad as it has been. I still need to stretch my back along the way and do the inversion table when I get back but its not all that bad. I figure another 20lbs and I might be able to start running again.
